Travelling, cool?

Considering the "cool" through travel I feel is very relevant now, as many people have a curiosity to see the world. Nearly every second person I speak to have either gone on a holiday or planning one, which is why I have decided to create a travel magazine. This magazine will not only show places to visit, but things to do, eat and experience. It will be a complete guide as what travelling is all about; discovery, change, understanding another culture, as you dive into the unknown and discover life.

Just like a journal has written experiences, the magazine will form an assemblage of them from many people's experiences on their travels. The feel of the magazine should be fun, exciting, playful easy-to-read and rustic, while at the same time keeping a semi-formal nature. I want to also include quirky elements like souvenirs you will find and fashions in different countries.

The target audience is from 16+ as travelling has no age limit. The aim is for the viewer to be able to relate to the articles in the magazine, not purely on a material level as the embodiment of travelling is not purely to get away, but to experience and take in new and exciting things.

Keep in Mind...

Get Creative...

Don't be afraid to get creative while on holiday, because it is often your experiences that bring out the artist in you, so get out a pencil and start sketching.

Travel Journal...

Keep a jounal to document everything you see, smell, taste, hear because looking back on your experiences is one of the best things about travelling. I find that I forget the little things and it isn't until i see a photo, souveneir, or a letter, which triggers that memory. I am also a crazy collector of things that I find on my travels, which make cheap souveneirs aswell.

 

Postcards...

Postcards are a fun and exciting way to let the rest of your family know how much fun you are having and also a fantatic way to remember all the places you have been to.
